PMS. Hunger. Worry. Anger.
The plan on Sunday morning was for me to go to the stadium to do my interval training while KuKuNehNeh goes swimming at the complex nearby but she was feeling uncomfortable from the you-know-what. I estimated that I would take an hour at most to finish my intervals and other exercises and we would meet at the market at 10am for breakfast.
The sun was blindingly hot even at 9am that day and the training was quite the killer even when I manage to meet all my goals. The drawback was that I took quite some time to recover before proceeding to the other exercises. It’s pointless to try to do chin-ups when I am constantly catching my breath from the runs and so I underestimated the time taken and was 20mins late to the market. I didn’t have my phone with me as I packed light for the training and I saw KKNN walking towards me from the market with a face of contorted emotions that spoke of worry and anger.
“Sorry Dear~! I’m late…” I spoke and gulped for oxygen and saliva for the fear of a woman having PMS.
“Wah lau! You make me WORRIED lor! Why you so late?”
“Sorry lar, I estimated the time wrongly and I took longer than expected.”
“I waited so long lor! I thought you might have fainted from the training or got knocked down by a car!”
“Haha! Sorry lar!”
“WAH LAU~~!!! I very hungry lor~! I wanted to order first and I realize how wrong it may be if I was eating chicken rice while you were dying in the hospital!”
“WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!”
It’s kind of cute to see the gf worry like that but I really should start to think of bringing my phone along for runs or at least give more time to play with for my estimations. The last thing I would want is for an exhausted me to take a beating for making her worry or for me to die while she enjoys a plate of chicken rice.

I am quite ready for marriage at this point in time and I realize that the only thing that is holding me back is the lack of a big fat account in my bank or a big fat paycheck at the end of every month. I am now running the risk of hitting the big 30 and the losing the chance of marrying my awesome girlfriend that is KuKuNehNeh.
It does worry me as my 2 biggest crippling flaws I have is the inability to save and the ability to procrastinate.
“Why scrimp and save a million dollars and die a millionaire?”
“Why do it today when I can do it tomorrow?”
The only times when I go against my innate flaws are when the situation becomes less of me and more of someone else. And in this case, wanting to get married is as much of a want to KKNN as it is to me. As big as her desire to bear Eurasian kids, she has expressed willingness to bear children with me and run the potential of having kids with small eyes, huge eyebags and fat noses. See how wonderful that woman is?
And so, I shall move out of my comfort zone and strive to earn enough money to make this marriage happen soon.
Hmmm…. Maybe I’ll start tomorrow…

KuKuNehNeh had her birthday on the 10th of April which happened to fall on Good Friday and she had no idea of what was in store for her.
The plan was to have this blog post to go live at 12 midnight on her birthday to tell her that I am bring her to a stay at Sentosa Resort & Spa but she promptly fell asleep 30 minutes before her birthday. So much for plans. WAHAHAHAHAAA!
We were greeted by the very friendly staff at the Sentosa Resort & Spa and we brought to our deluxe room.
Nice looking room
Well equipped and spacious bathroom
Sexy eh? Wahahahaha!
We headed for the beach station for the Luge but the weather didn’t make any exceptions for us on her birthday and it rained not long after we had a quick lunch of delicious but pricey 9″ hotdogs and crispy fries at a beach bar near the beach station. Thinking that the Luge isn’t a very good choice right after the rain, we made plans for the Segway Eco Ride + Fun Ride and it was so much fun!
KKNN and her 9 incher
Segways by the beach!
The Segway is tons of fun! It’s pretty easy to get the hang of using the Segway and not before long, we were zipping by the crowds at Sentosa and getting quite a lot of attention as we manoeuvre across pathways, roads and sand. KuKuNehNeh was a little stiff at 1st but she thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Just a tip for those who intend to try the Segway out at Sentosa. Don’t just pay for the Fun Ride. It’s a good course for beginners to try out the Segway but it’s quite boring compared to the Eco Ride where you will get to go to cruise on the Segway to Tanjong Beach or Siloso Beach with one of their friendly staffs. Do ask the staff to unlock the speed restriction when you are comfortable as the Segway can go up to 20km/hr and it makes it even more exciting.
The day whizzed by very quickly and we retreated back to our room in the evening but I still had one more surprise left for her.
The doorbell rang unexpectedly at 10pm as I actually left prior instructions for champagne and a cake to be brought up and she was absolutely caught unaware. Nothing beats seeing the surprised look on her face as she is the kind who digs information out you if she ever smelt a surprise coming.
Duval Leroy Champagne that I didn't really like
Montebello Cake that she didn't really like
She was absolutely hilarious after downing a couple of glasses of champagne as I caught her dozing off a few times while we were watching a movie; at one time with a half filled champagne glass held in her hands.
I hope that she enjoyed her 25th Birthday as much as I enjoyed planning for it!

KKNN was over at Bali for a holiday with her girlfriends for the last 4 days and I was tasked to babysit Bluey.
Taking care of a girlfriend’s precious bird is not a task to be trifled with considering how much she loves that little feathered creature. My mind was constantly running scenarios of 101 things that could happen to Bluey in my care.
She could fly away and never to found again. She could be homesick and starve herself to death. She could have been frightened by my dog, Junior, and died from fright. My dog, Junior, could have died from fright seeing Bluey and cause my Mum to go berserk and cook Bluey for dinner.
In the end, Bluey caused more harm to me than I have caused her. I had her cage in my room so as to not disturb my other family members but ended up disrupting my sleep instead. I am a snoozer in the mornings and usually I get satisfaction from muting my phone alarm and going back to sleep. For the last 4 days, whenever Bluey sees that I am slightly awake, she would unabashedly use every noisy toy in her cage to generate as much commotion as possible while chirping shrilly in an attempt to get attention. I try to ignore her and get back to dreaming but the harder I try to mentally drown out her antics or shush her, she would generate even louder noises. It’s amazing how much noise a bird of this size can make.
Poor Bluey however, has an injured toe since January and despite visiting the vet twice, she hasn’t recovered yet. And because she has stopped her anti-inflammation syrup for the last 4 days, her toe has started to swell and it is probably quite painful for her as I see her losing balance and hopping around gingerly more frequently.
It’s very heartbreaking to see the little bird like that. We are going to seek a 2nd opinion for her poor toe tomorrow.
