The very first popular blog that I came across was Xiaxue‘s back in the days when she was funnier and less commercialized(IMHO). Blogs at that time were a form of entertainment and a way to keep myself updated on my friends lives. Having a steady income back in 2005, I got a webhost and the URL ‘krisandro.com’ without going through what most bloggers go through; Having a free blogging platform like blogspot/wordpress/xanga and then realizing later that they want a self hosted blog.

It wasn’t my intentions to use it as a blog in the 1st place but I eventually hopped onto the bandwagon and started to write. I used dreamweaver/frontpage to design and code my blog and it wasn’t powered by any blogging platform. I don’t have any friends who had a self hosted blog during those times, and without the knowledge of blogging platforms for self-hosted blogs, you can imagine how stupid it was for the period between March 2005 to Feb 2008. I was basically coding everything manually like my archives.

LOL

My traffic back then was mostly made up of my ‘offline’ friends and colleagues and then I start to hear good comments that I was ‘funny’. I then started to write a little more frequently and got ‘tomorrow-ed’ a couple of times. Unfortunately, after migrating to wordpress, you guys won’t be able to see the old entries that I had before Feb 2008.

I had a very long blogging hiatus for a period of almost 6 months because of personal reasons and there are 3 reasons that made me come back to blogging in February this year.

#1 – Friends

KuKuNehNeh knew me better through my old blog archives and after we got together, she kept badgering me to revive my blog. Friends like DX, Ade and my WLNY pals also popped by every once in a while through my shoutbox and say things like…

“YOUR BLOG IS DEAD!!!”
*REMOVE COBWEBS*
“KRISANDO!!! COME BACK! I LOVEEEEEEEEE YOU!!!”

Okay, it’s obvious that I made the last one up but the point is, these people gave me the confidence that they would like me to write again.

#2 – WordPress

Seriously. Without wordpress, there is no reason for me to update my blog as often as I can now. Everything is great about the platform to the point that I only need to concentrate mostly on content, content and content. Well, in krisandro’s blog, it’s actually rubbish, rubbish and rubbish. But I know you guys like rubbish and rubbish is gonna stay!

#3 – Ping.sg

I don’t think the traffic for June can match the traffic of May though

Without Ping.sg, my blog’s growth would not have been what it is now. Nice folks do submit my works to tomorrow.sg every now and then but it is Ping.sg that gives me constant traffic. It’s also the folks at Ping who are very supportive of my blogging style and they make up a majority of the ones who leave comments whenever I post something up and it feels bloody nice to have people leave comments.

This is my 100th wordpress post, and I’ll dedicate this to the 3 reasons I mentioned and all my supporters, including those who are SILENT READERS. You know who you are.. (Cuz nobody else knows who you are…)

Good afternoon everyone, this is krisandro reporting for Channel 69 where we report everything that is too mundane for every other major news channel. If you recall back at our last report, Mabel Chong was actively looking for a cute and nice girl for her bf. And after 5 days from her very 1st advertisement on the free giveaway of her bf, she decided to DELETE THE WHOLE thread.

It has been discovered that the nice bf that she is promoting is named Kenrick Ho and he used Mabel’s account to post on the forum today. This is what he had to say…

So, to all the cute and nice girls who were hoping to replace Mabel as Kenrick’s gf, I am so sorry to say that they have reconciled and they consider themselves as MARRIED.

Once again, this is krisandro reporting for channel 69. Please do not contact us on big issues like global warming or big disasters that killed people. We are only interested on reporting news of Singaporeans flicking their pi-sai in public, children urinating into drains and of course 17 yr old girls who wants to find a gf for their bfs and then deciding not to within 5 days.

There is one girl who goes by the name of Chong Si Qing Mabel in wholivesnearyou.com(WLNY) that got me very curious after irritating the hell out of me on the live chat.

I could write about how ‘interesting’ young girls or even guys like to take pictures this way but it might be a 500 word essay littered with “LOLs” and “WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAs”.

So, to summarize, a 17 year old girl named Chong Si Qing Mabel from Jurong West feels that she is not worthy for her “not bad” looking boyfriend who is nice to her. She has no time for him and feels sorry and so she wants a nice and cute girl to “stead” with him to take care of him.

If I was 12, I would have thought that she was the nicest girl I’ve ever heard of. Who the hell would give up a nice and “not bad” looking bf away and promote the ‘giveaway’ at a public forum.

Too bad that I am a decade older than her and my friends think that Mabel might actually be that guy you see above, setting up a female account and promoting himself in a third person’s point of view. If so, this guy is kinda clever!

What do you guys think?

Let’s all give the benefit of the doubt to Mabel shall we. Maybe there are such nice 17 year olds around after all. Let’s all help her achieve her goal of finding a nice and cute girl for the poor bf. Tell all your friends and relatives that there is a free bf being given out in Jurong West. I was at my friend, Windelyn’s birthday party last Saturday with Ruifang in tow. Being the clever mutant that Windelyn is, she made it a ‘potluck’ affair. Everyone had to bring a dish to the party, which explains why I had to make sure I get Ruifang to come along.

Hello? Me? Cook?

Being the sensible person that I am, I didn’t want to poison the whole gang. In comes Ruifang, the cooker….. I mean…. The Cook! She made this fabulous dish called Cream Cheese Spring Roll in Mango Sauce! It tastes good! It tastes of…… Cream Cheese, Spring Roll and Mango Sauce.

*Cough Cough*

Anyway, it’s a recipe of Audrey’s which she got from somewhere else. No pics though. I’ll post it up again when I have the chance.

So! Sometime in the night, dices and dice cups were brought out to play. Being the Hao-Lian-ing person that I am, I proceeded to do the 双天至尊 stunts on the floor. Ruifang came along and tried to do it too.

Below is my rough memory of how a conversation followed.

Me: “Eh dear, I think you better stop playing with the dice.”

Ruifang: “Why?”

Me: “We are playing on the floor lar. It’s so noisy. What if we disturb the neighbours downstairs?”

(At this point in time, I was feeling so good. Everyone must think that I am so considerate)

Ruifang+Friend A+FriendB: “But….. We are on the SECOND FLOOR(of the HDB) leh…..”
