Computer and console games are great fun with all the graphics, gore and maybe nudity – depending on what you play you see. But there are some of us who still love the good old boardgames, and that is when we turn to places like Pitstop Cafe to scratch this itch of ours.
Jointly organized by Nadnut and myself, we brought together a bunch of peeps to Pitstop Cafe on her introduction and after arriving there, I realized why she loves it there so much. The staff were helpful and the atmosphere was good and the food ain’t too bad! I’ve been to 2-3 other cafes of a similar theme and I dare say that Pitstop serves the best of the lot.
I had this and it was delicious!
Some of the games we played were Blokus, Spy Alley and I’m The Boss!
One of the lovely moments between Nadnut and Joey *cough*
Attendees were Farinelli, Brian, Leonard, Eunice, Arzhou, Nadnut, Joey, Vincent and myself.
And yes, that is Eunice in a cosplay maid’s dress. And apparently, she flashed at Nadnut. Who said that boardgames are boring affairs?
WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA~!!!

For those who have been dwelling in underground vaults and marvelling at how fast your Intel Core 2 processor is and how l33t you are, well, I got news for you. Intel has released their bleeding-ly fast successor to the Intel Core 2 with the Intel Core i7 processors and once again, kept bloody Moore’s Law alive and threatens to bleed my wallet dry.
It’s such a love hate relationship I have with processors and graphic cards. One would feel excited that technology is keeping up the pace and a great company like Intel creates great products like the Core 2. You wait a few months for the prices to plunge before making the purchase. You buy it after saving up for a couple months surviving on scraps from the rubbish dump and water from the bowl of your neighbours pet. And before you can bask in the full glory of owning one of the fastest processors around, Intel steps in and taps on your shoulder and says, “Oh! We have just released the Fastest Desktop Processor On The Planet! The Intel Core i7!!!”

At least I got to attend the media event to help me regain some love for Intel and I can always count on the peeps at Ogilvy to tickle me and Nadnut with the labelling of our media passes.

Yes, I was Christopher Tan for that night and no, I didn’t do anything kinky with Nadia Bennylava.

One of the perks (or bane) of living in such a heavily populated country like Singapore is the fact that we can be almost anywhere and hear conversations of strangers even if we don’t want to.
I was on the train with KuKuNehNeh (KKNN) on our way to Ang Mo Kio via the North South Line and somewhere along the trip, a group of 3 teenage girls boarded the cabin along with the 1,653,428,201,737 passengers that were already inside with us. They stood next to us and were talking pretty loudly and drowned most of the chatter around them. KKNN became very quiet and there is no prize for me to guess that she was listening intently at the girls conversation.
I cannot accurately replicate what they said but it went along something like this…
Girl A: “CHEE BYE LAR! I cannot stand it leh. CHEE BYE!”
Girl B: “What lar CHEE BYE?”
Girl C: “Angry for what CHEE BYE?”
Girl A: “Fucking CHEE BYE! I just cannot stand his CHEE BYE face lar! Chao CHEE BYE!”
Girl B: “Ya lar, I know lar… He is a one bloody CHEE BYE.
Girl A: “The next time I see his CHEE BYE face, I am going to slap his Chao CHEE BYE!!! Cheeeeeee Byeeeeee~~”
Most Singaporeans will be very appalled by the use of their language but I am thoroughly amused. ‘Chee Bye‘ is just a Hokkien word for ‘Vagina‘. So, the above dialogue actually goes like….
Girl A: “VAGINA! I cannot stand it. VAGINA!!”
Girl B: “What VAGINA?”
Girl C: “Angry for what VAGINA?”
Girl A: “Fucking VAGINA! I just cannot stand his VAGINA face! Smelly VAGINA!”
Girl B: “Ya, I know… He is a one bloody VAGINA.
Girl A: “The next time I see his VAGINA face, I am going to slap his Smelly VAGINA!!! Vaginaaaaaaaaaaa~~”
Not much of a foul conversation anymore is it? WAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAH!!!

Finding Long Lost Friends Using Facebook
Maybe someone has already successfully did what I am trying to achieve here and probably has a better way to do it but I am trying this all the same! I am looking for my primary school friends! I have lost contact with so many of them and it will be great if I can get all, if not most of them for a gathering soon. Not many friends have seen one another pee and poop in their pants and that sort of stuffs one would do when you are 7-12 years of age and primary school friends are one of those bunch.
I have posted my Primary 6 class photo on Facebook and the idea is to tag as many as I can find and hoping that those whom I tagged have others on their Facebook list and tags them. This will continue till everyone is tagged in the picture and soon, I WILL CONQUER THE WORLD!!!!!
If you happen to be reading this and realize that you are my classmate from Shuqun Primary School, Class of 1993, k and head down to the above to tag yourself!
For the rest of the readers who is seeing this picture for the first time, guess which kid am I?
Here is a recent picture of me to help you locate me!
Ain’t I handsome!
