E-Vouchers For A Great Deal At Singtel’s INQ Mini 3G Roadshow

[Advertorial]

I’ll be revealing the winner of the Singtel INQ Mobile Contest at the end of this post but first of all, I’ve got some news for you guys who are interested in checking out the INQ Mini 3G or have been waiting for Singtel to wave more carrots for you to get the phone (which is already free if you sign up for a certain plan by the way).

Singtel will be holding an INQ Mini 3G roadshow at Plaza Singapura tomorrow and on Sunday!

Details:

Venue: Plaza Singapura Level 1

Dates: 31st Oct (Sat) & 1st Nov (Sun)

Time: 11am – 10pm daily

Mediacorp artists Dai Yang Tian & Elvin Ng, will be appearing at 8pm on Sat and Sun respectively. These two are arguably the most good looking of the younger, up and coming stars of local TV and I hope they should be able to convince you to at least check them out while buying the INQ Mini 3G.

Now! About the carrots that Singtel is offering to you guys who are interested to buy the INQ Mini 3G but have yet to do so.

Print the following e-voucher and present it at the INQ Mini 3G roadshow this weekend when you buy the phone to enjoy…

  1. Free pack of 3 INQ Mini 3G battery covers (worth $34.95)
  2. Waiver of registration fee and SIM card charge (worth $42.80)

So print the e-voucher, get down to Plaza Singapura this weekend, check out the INQ Mini 3G, buy the phone for ZERO dollars, ogle and take pictures with the celebrities with your new phone.

There, I made weekend plans for you already. :p

Check out my review of the phone here if you are still undecided.

Twitter, being a integral selling point of the INQ Mini 3G, coupled with the enthusiasm of the bloggers in the same room as Dawn, made her pretty interested in figuring out what Twitter is.

Unlike the America where most celebrities have more or less embraced social media, especially Twitter; only a handful of local celebrities have actually done the same. Thanks to and the bloggers, and have at least signed up for Twitter and we await with baited breath if they will actually use their accounts regularly. Go add em and urge them on!

Singtel Wins Exclusive Rights To Broadcast BPL. End Of The World For Some.

Singtel has won the bid over Starhub to broadcast the Barclays Premier League (BPL) for 3 seasons beginning 2010 and boy am I pissed.

Pissed because the reason I pay $52.73 monthly for my Starhub CableTV is for the $25 component that says “Sports Group”. And it may jolly well be named as “BPL Group”, because the only thing I really watch on Starhub CableTV is BPL football.

So if you take away the only reason I am paying FIFTY-TWO DOLLARS and SEVENTY-THREE CENTS every month, please don’t expect me to pay for Starhub CableTV come October 2010.

It’s easy to blame Singtel for this situation as they have taken the whole pie out of the plate leaving nothing to eat for the diners at Starhub’s table. Sentiments I garnered from Twitter proved that most are pissed with Singtel or/and Starhub and only a couple celebrating (Presumably the rare ones that are actually subscribed to Singtel’s mio TV).

I initially felt the same anger towards Starhub for not bidding hard enough to retain the rights and Singtel for greedily taking the pie which they never ever had in the first place. But then again, it’s all business. Instead of the possibility of sharing the pie, it was all or nothing.

I’m gonna boycott both cable tv providers next year once BPL screening makes the switch. No way I am paying to switch providers every 3 years just to watch football.
